Roger Clark, PhD

Roger is a passionate drug hunter, developer, and leader with 25 years of R&D experience spanning all phases of drug discovery, from hit generation through compound nomination and CMC. As a synthetic organic and medicinal chemist, Roger has held roles in both large pharma and across several successful biotech companies. For the past sixteen years, he has been focused on the total synthesis of complex molecules that target the ribosome and their application to treat rare genetic diseases, bacterial infections, and oncology. Roger also has extensive experience in the inflammation, obesity, and diabetes therapeutic areas.

Over the course of his career, Roger has contributed to 6 clinical development compounds, including 1 approved drug. Beyond chemistry, he has overseen the development of company platforms and been a key player in corporate rebranding and establishing a new therapeutic area focus.

Roger received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan and is also a passionate football fan. Go Blue!
